Emerald Coast RV Parks

Hi all... Looking to spend the month of Feb., 2014 some where on the Emerald Coast area. really, anywhere between Gulf Shores and Apalachicola.
Have looked at Emerald Beach RV park and Santa Rosa Sound RV Park, both in Navarre. Looking at Pensacola Beach RV resort (brand new) near Pensacola..
Beach front not that important, just good value.

St. Andrews State Park at Panama City Beach is a good bet.

Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort in Panama City Beach. It isn't on the beach but the park is very nice. We recently stayed there for three weeks this past October.

Emerald Beach is your good bet. Just left it 2 weeks ago. Looked at the other 2,nice new, but no character. I would really be surprised if Emerald Beach have any space in Feb. Just left Gulf Shores Foley area headed for Texas ,decided we will come back to Gulf Shores for March.

The last 2 years we have gone to Panama City Beach RV Resort on Thomas Dr, will be there again this year. Very nice, clean, quiet, and only 68 spaces, gated. Beach is across the street, about 100 yards. Check their website.

We have stayed at Santa Rosa and Emerald Coast which you mentioned. Both are nice, Santa Rosa is "road noisy" if you are on the street row, but has a large waterfront row. Emerald has some very nice water front sites with a overlook deck (in demand). Both are very clean and handy for eating and shopping.

We found a lot of great facilities when we were in the area last winter. We would stay for a week in one, then move on. I reviewed them all at rvparkreviews.com. We stayed at Santa Rosa Sound and loved it. Checked out most along the entire Emerald Coast. Perdido Cove and Marina is one I would stay at next time. Spent most of our time in the Foley area, including Gulf Shores State Park. That huge park already was booked solid for this winter with a very long waiting list. For good value, try the inland parks, like in the Foley area.

Thanks for all the feedback! Need to plan further ahead to get into Gulf Shores and Topsail parks. They are booked along with many other places along the coastline.
So, we are zeroing in on Panama City RV resort on Thomas ave.

We just made reservations at El Governor in Mexico Beach. It is right across the street from the beach and in the middle of town. Not as "touristy" as PCB in my experience. If you are looking for a little more secluded but still on the beach consider Indian pass.

Be aware they are "age sensitive" on your RV, I notice yours is a 98. I had called them from the road last year and they asked me about the RV, year, length etc..

Said they would need to see it or send a recent picture before confirming the reservation. We were running a little late, and passed the Santa Rosa sound RV park saw it was almost empty, stopped there rather than push on to PCB.

I did not really expect any problem after having the conversation, but you never know.

we are booked for a month a Rustic Campgrounds in Mexico Beach. About a five minute walk to the beach. Tree lined and the people seem nice
