Call them, Saguaro - 520-586-7343.
First timers get a special one time rate of something like $50 for the first week and the savings will pretty much cover the first year Escapee membership fee of $85.

You can join at the Saguaro office in Benson, AZ or I think, at any Escapee park. You can then use their member rate.

You don't even have to join to get the one-week special of $65. But I highly recommend you join as it's a fantastic organization, especially if you are active in it.

Thank you grindstone01 and twogypsies. I will check this out the Escapee’s CG in Benson. I will join Escapee’s at that time too. We were going to stay for a while at the state park at Kartchner (to explore there), but Benson is very close. It should serve us well as a base camp.

things to do in Deming NM

We stayed there in Feb. Be sure to go to the Adobe Deli, about 10 miles out of town. You can get directions at the Dream Catchers office. Fantastic French Onion soup... large portions of everything ordered.

What to see depends on what your interests are. We went north to Silver City, interesting place but was raining the day we went so kind of curtailed our activities. Also (next day) went to City of Rocks (north of Deming) and Rock Hound Park (south of Deming).

Do a Google search "What to see and do in Southern NM" and you will find quite a few things.
