In Manitou Springs near Colorado Springs, check out Pikes Peak RV.

We stayed in the Colorado Springs KOA last summer while touring the area. FHU's and driving distance to all of the attractions.

Spruce lake is right on the Big Thompson in Estes, nice, a little tight. They have a sister park over closer to the YMCA camp I think it is call Elk Meadows, roomier there. Also there is a KOA right as you get into town if you come up from Loveland, tight also. Mary's lake campground is more open as well. Google earth them to see which might be right for you.

We did that trip last summer. Colorado Springs-We stayed at Garden of the Gods RV Park. Busy area! Great stay for us, but we reserved an executive site well in advance. In Estes Park, we stayed at Paradise on the River. Paradise is a small RV park, great management, great for couples, and our site was right on the river. Call ahead for site size (sites are small) and if you go, take your fishing poles.

X2 on Garden of the Gods executive sites. There are only 4 or 5 as I recall and the rest of the park seemed really tight, but nice nonetheless. We stayed at Elk Meadows and I would describe as adequate-not much green space with lots of rock and dust unless it rains. The views were great though. We stayed at Mary's lake years ago and didn't go back. Enjoy the beautiful countryside.
