Exchange Camping

OK, so I'm not sure what to call it so I'll describe what I mean. I recall a few years back I had a membership in a motorcycle club. The club published a directory each year and in that directory each member had the option to offer certain services to their fellow club members. These services included such things as, Tools, shop space, camping space etc. What I'm wondering is, is there such a thing for RoVers? For instance, I live on a 20 acre parcel in the country and I'd be more than happy to offer dry camping space to anyone who was passing through or spending a few days in the area. Of course, I reserve the right to refuse such services to anyone I do not feel comfortable having on my property.

There are times when I'm travelling and would really appreciate having a spot where I can just pull over for the night, or even a couple nights but I have no idea where to look for a listing of people who would offer such a space.

Any advice?

Boondockers Welcome | Be My Guest RV Parking

I believe this is what you are looking for. Private parties offering a wide spot along the road for people to park for a night or two.

That's really great! Thanks for the link! We may consider joining up and offering a spot, or two.

I believe both Good Sams and FMCA have directories of places and people (members) who will let you Overnight,, When I had a house I was willing to do that for RVers.

I do not know of any other listings such as that but logically Escapees will have one too (I'm not a member is why I don't know).

Might be an idea for the forum administrators to offer that as a line or check box on your member profile, then the computer could "Collect" the check boxes and create a searchable file which other forum members could download.

However.... That, takes a programmer and they cost money.

That's a great idea! It would either take money or a motivated volunteer.
