Experience in St Germain Wisconsin?

Do you have ant suggestions on staying in or near St Germain? Activities you liked, etc?

Couple questions:

What time of the year are you going?
What are some activities you like to do?
How long are you planning on spending in the area?

Couple places I know of are as follows:

Patricia Lake Campground (Minocqua, Wisconsin RV Campground and RV Park - Patricia Lake)
Arbor Vitae Campground (Arbor Vitae Campground)
Indian Shores (Indian Shores Camping & Cottage Resort, Marina & Restaurant - Home|Campground and Cottage Resort)

I'm sure there are others, and I really only have experience with Indian Shores.. but I've heard of them and things were positive..

As to Indian Shores.. its a nice campground.. but I will not go back.. I had a bad experience with the owner/manager.. I'll leave it at that.. Its a nice place.. nice location and nice amenities... but I'm not a fan of the owner..

As for the area... wow.. couldn't ask for a better slice of Wisconsin.. great people.. great area.. beautiful clean/clear lakes..

St. Germain is nice, but I believe most of the action will be in Minoqua and/or Eagle River.. I know all three are nice.. but I think Eagle River and Minoqua will offer more activities.. but there is plenty to do in the area... Once you let me know what you like.. I can maybe direct you better..

Very excited for you.. we go to a HD rally in Tomahawk, WI and we usually ride to the above mentioned areas.. very nice quaint main streets.. lots of shops to visit.. lots of crafts and, of course, bars...

We have a second home in Eagle River and love that area. We have friends that stay at and are very happy with High Pines Campground just north of the city limits on Highway 45. You can find a festival just about every weekend in the area in the summer. If you like water, Eagle River has a connected chain of 28 lakes for boating with many restaurants and supper clubs you can reach by boat. As the other person said, it all depends on the time of year. The World Championship Snowmobile Derby is in January and they have RV parking for the races that allow you to watch right from your RV.

Sorry should have stated more of the plan. We'll be coming down out of the UP of Michigan next summer. About the middle of July. I drove through this area on my way to Isle Royale this fall and thought it was a beautiful area. Rivers, lakes and bike trails. We kayak, hike and bike. I saw a Lynn Ann's Campground and wondered if anyone's stayed there?

The Chain O Lakes Campground is perfect for the boating and kayaking. Bike trails start at the entrance to the campground. Perfect for the active camper. https://www.facebook.com/Chain-O-Lak...1590035521149/

I stayed at Lynn Ann's Campground last year for a couple of days in late September. I really liked the place. If I did not live on Lake Wisconsin I would go there for fishing & boating. The folks there run one of the most laid back operations I have ever come across. I decided to stay an extra day and was told “No problem, come on in tomorrow and we’ll settle up.” That was when they saw my credit card for the first time.

With your size rig I would call them and make arrangements. I was in site #40 so the dog could have room to run around on a 20ft leash.

Thanks all. You've given me three or four parks with great recommendations to check out.
