Fall Camping is my favorite! First weekend in October!

Hey All,

Fall camping is my favorite and that means October is the best month to enjoy the campfires and chilled air!
The first long weekend coming up on Oct. 2nd. leaving for Stanwood Michigan to one of our favorite resorts River Ridge Resort! Halloween Coach decorating, Trick or Treating, and campfires!
Who else agrees that October is the best month to camp?
Only a few weekends left for us in the north US to enjoy our rigs!

What are you all doing??

Hi Craig and Deb. We enjoy Fall camping, too. Next weekend we'll be heading to the Seashore campground in Cape May, NJ for a week at the Jersey shore. Hoping for some warm weather so we can get some end of season beach time in.

Enjoy your weekend.

We full time but thoroughly enjoy fall camping where the nights are crisp and the days are cool. Currently in Acadia National Park and the weather has has been perfect. The current plan (always subject to change) is to follow the weather south in hopes of extending the fall just a little longer.
Camp fires and wine and good people; life is good!

We have always enjoyed Sept and Oct camping. Not getting much in this year, as I was offered a driving job until Oct 10th, after which we will head to Moab, Utah for a Jeep rally, then south to warmer area's.

I must admit I like October as well.. though I'd rather be 1,000 miles north. (I am in southern GA)

Northern Michigan fall colors

Hi all,
We are headed for the Straits and the Soo on a four day trip this weekend. Fall is the best with the crisp air, warm days and fantastic colors. We are not sure if we will land in the Mackinaw City area and just stay or do an extra hour or so and stay at the Soo Locks.... but I guess we don't have to decide that is what the motorhome life is all about.....

Was at Punderson State Park in NE Ohio last weekend. Perfect weekend mid 70's sunny all weekend, was able to take my kayak out on the lake. This weekend were still in NE Ohio at Mohican State Park. Thursday was perfect, but off and on rain came in on Friday. Today (Sat.) has been chilly but mostly cloudy. The leaves are about half way changed. In the higher elevations in the surrounding farm lands the leaves are closer to peak here in the valley ther a week or two behind. Cold tonight (35 degrees)

Looking out the window, enjoying the fall colors in the Colorado mountains!

Oh, wait, that window is in my house! Because I am WAITING for all of the parts to arrive to repair the electrical system in our coach before going out on our next adventure. Oh well, at least the view of the fall colors is great from the Jeep, too. Nothing beats camping in the mountains during the fall.
