Yes, I live here all summer :-) I recommend the mountainous half of Colorado. Absolutely gorgeous. It's almost hard to recommend ONE place because there are hundreds. Rocky Mountain National Park is a great start. Then there's Redstone...but that's a little further from "town". Gunnison and the surrounding area would fit the bill. Western Colorado is also awesome but it's a little hotter (dry) and more desert type environment. Lots of hiking, biking, 4 wheeling, horse riding out in the western area.

I have to recommend the Montrose/Ouray/Telluride region. World class golf, the best 4 wheeling ever, gold medal trout streams, great people, several great campgrounds, what more, oh yea, shopping the wife will love Telluride, Ouray, Montrose,Durango just don't blame me when the wallet is empty. Need or want more info send me a persoanl email.
