favorite campground in north GA or TN

Looking for a fun camping spot to celebrate my 50th birthday in! Two weekends from now and want to head to the mountains. Considering Pigeon Forge area, Monte Santo in North AL or Cloudland in North GA. ANy thoughts or other suggestions?

Monte Santo is pretty nice. It of course depends on your expectations and requirements. I haven't been up there in about 10 years so not up to date but it has a very wooded and private feel but is very close to Huntsville. I'm about 20 miles from the Pigeon Forge area and there are many options in that area if those activities are what you're looking for.

Looking for shaded and level sites with electric and water. Would love to be close to activities for daytime fun. Don't want to be cooking this whole trip if ya get my drift!

Two of my favorites are Peace Valley in Murphy NC. and DeSoto SP in Fort Payne Ala.

This one is on the south end of Pigeon Forge and the older strip area:

This one is off the parkway more toward the center of Pigeon Forge & convenient to Dollywood:

This one is between Pigeon Forge and Sevierville and convenient to the Governors Crossing and the Tanger Outlets:
