Give some serious consideration to Door County (Greenbay area). Beautiful, relaxing, and a pretty easy drive from Chicago.

Hi TSGanatos,
I'm not sure what "not too far from Chicago" means, but consider Shipshewana, Indiana. It is the heart of Amish country. Lots of things to do.
