First trip of the 2012 season
Went on our first outing of the season last weekend here in southeast VA. The weather was perfect. Mid 60's during the day and mid 50's at night (great temps for sitting by the fire!) A little light rain on Saturday morning, but other than that, couldn't have asked for better. We arrived on Thursday and left on Monday. Here is a picture of our set-up. Notice the site! They were just finishing it as we pulled up. Had to wait about 5 minutes for them to move their equipment out of the way. The site came with the table and chairs, an umbrella for the table, the propane grill and a built in fire pit. This campground is in Williamsburg, VA. They made 9 of these premium sites, but all other sites are also concrete, just without the extra brick patios. Oh, and they just upgraded the bathrooms. Beautiful!!! Check it out if you come this way. The people are extremely nice!

We're going to River Trail Crossing Campground in Butler, OH for Memorial Day week. Our daughter lives 1 mile from there. We stayed there last October and really liked it. Have fun this weekend! Enjoy your new TT!

Hi Sherri, My (first) wife and I are going to Williamsburg, Va next week on Fri the 13th. I liked your weather report and was wondering how close to Wmsbrg you are. We will meet kids and grandkids there for a week. Then we go to Outer Banks for some fishing. Thanks for your post.
p.s. my (first) wife and I have been married for 52 years.

We are just 30 miles east of Williamsburg. You will drive right past us on your way to the Outer Banks. Looks like you picked a good time to come. A few showers are predicted on Saturday, but after that we're looking at sunny and 70's. This should be a good time for the Outer Banks as well. (Before hurricane season starts!) I wish you and your "(first)" wife safe travels. Enjoy your time with your family!

Sherri, that looks like you had a great time, and a very nice campsite. I'm already booked into the KOA in Williamsburg, unfortunately, but will be in the area the second week of May.
Come on by for a drink if you're free...

My father likes the KOA in Williamsburg. I want to go there but am waiting for a time when he and I are available at the same time so we can camp together. The second weekend in May we will be at Rockahock Campground just outside of Williamsburg. Our RV dealer is hosting a camp out there. It's just a quick weekend trip. We have to get back to work and save up more vacation days for more camping! Thanks for the invite though!
Don't know how long you're planning on staying, but if you get a chance you should drive through American Heritage and Rockahock. Both are close to the KOA and you may want to consider them for a future trip. Enjoy your stay and post some pictures.
