First trip with out new pup coming soon!

We're planning our first trip with our new (to us) '79 Starcraft pop up May 9-13.. Still undecided exactly where or what we'll do. But we're doing it! We're debating a series of one nighters or staying in one spot for the duration.

We have never stayed just one night at a camp site. You spend too much of your time getting everything "un travel ready" only to have to start putting it all away again the next day. Stay at least a couple of days at each site, take time to enjoy the area.

x2 on the stay in one place - you'll find better places to store things, especially if this is your first time out in your camper. Plus you'll enjoy a rhythm of camping and maybe get some excellent tips from your neighbors. JM2c

I would agree. We usually don't go someplace for one night, unless making a longer trip. Find a state park or attraction that you can visit and tour. Set-up enjoy the campsite and go see the attractions.

There's 2 cool SP's within a hour of each other.. Im thinking split the 4-5 nights between them, or just stick with one. I have to agree, a series of one nighters seems like to much work and for the 1st time out I think we'd just be setting ourselves up for disaster if something's gonna fail or break. Probably best to put it up and leave it be. And hope if it does fail it's on the way home or after we get home.
