First trip without snow on the ground
Took the MH out this weekend with DW, DSand two dogs. Drove South towards Delta Junction. Beautiful weather, sunny with highs about 75. boondocked Friday night, then camped at Quartz Lake State Campground Saturday night. It was full and we parked in the overflow area. We enjoyed the view of the lake and all the people fishing. I had my wisdom teeth out Wednesday, so I didn't do too much but relax and walk the dogs a bit. This weekend we will be at a Cub Scout Family camp with the DS and his buddy. They will be in a tent, and DW and I will be in the MH.
Interior Alaska is very dry right now. The forest fires are off to an early start, over 400 lightning strikes recorded on Saturday. we drove through some light smoke on the way back to Fairbanks. We saw lots of RV's on the road from in-state and out of state. We got a lot of waves. Lots of RV's in the parks in North Pole and Fairbanks.
