Smile Fish Camp Canada

Early September I will be in St Cloud MN on business. Afterwards I would like to travel to Canada just north of International Falls,MN. But would consider other entries. I would like to find a campground on a lake that would be big rig friendly with a toad with full hook ups. Prefer to be within 100 to 150 miles from the border.

I would like to fish a few days for Northern Pike , have a shore lunch and would consider hiring a guide with a boat or a fly in day.

Does any body have any leads?

I haven't fished there but try this site.

You may have trouble if your just after Northern Pike. Within 150 miles of the border.

Skip, I once caught a 45 inch long pike right in Lake Superior.

When I lived in Ontario the government spent quite a bit on improving fishing.

Now they spend most money on paying themselves.

There are several campgrounds at or near Sioux Narrows Ont about 2hrs north of Int Falls. These are on Lake Of The Woods which is HUGE and has any kind of fishing you could ask for: Lake Trout, Muskie,Walleye,Small Mouth Bass, Northern and even Croppie.
Google Sunset Country for a listing.

good luck

Where I'm from we measured fish by the distance between the eyes. Those lake of the woods area fishermen never did learn to go after the big ones.
