Five miles from the house!

We are not retired yet, both hubby and I work full time. We try to take our Winnebago Journey out about twice a month. We just got back from a weekend at Turkey Lake Park. We live in Orlando, the heart of tourist land. When we go to Turkey Lake it is like we are miles away from home. Our other favorite spot is a KOA, Lake Whippoorwill, which is also in Orlando.

The state park we camped in was within 20 minutes of our home.

It is not how far you are away, but the fact that you are AWAY.

Happy Camping

Before retirement, we had a choice of several CGs close by for weekends.
In most cases, it took us longer to check in than it did to get there.
More time in camp, more time to spoil the grandkids!
