Hi 55stude,
Consider Treasure Coast RV Resort. Go to Treasure Coast RV Resort-Home and check it out. There is Flying J one exit north and a Pilot one exit south or the resort. Once south of Ft. Pierce, the easy in and out next to I95 or the Turnpike goes away.

We stopped for fuel at the end of the turnpike in Florida City. It's just a short hop to the keys from there. My rig is the same size as yours. Can't remember the name but there was plenty of room.

If you are traveling down the turnpike, the last service plaza ( snapper creek) is easy in and out for diesel.

We go down to the Keys every Easter and Snapper Creek on the FL Turnpike is the last easy in/out stop for diesel. Keep in mind:

1. Exit is from the fast lane as the station is in between the North and South bound lanes. You also have to re-enter the Turnpike onto the fast lane so be ready to put the pedal to the metal.
2. This location holds your physical credit card while you fill up. My credit card has been compromised twice at his location. Last Easter, I had a inactive credit card with me, let them hold that card and then used my real card when paying the bill. Thus, no problems with unauthorized charges.
3. Florida City has gas stations but they are very tight on the Keys-bound side
4. You can fill up leaving the Keys in Florida City at the Hess Station right after Denny's. Easy pull in and pull out if not too crowded.

Thanks Plan on being on the turnpike. Snapper Creek sounds like it should work. Think I can make the turn around from there. David

Just fueled there today. Left hand exit. Separate truck island. Paid $3.85 the cheapest seen going thru Florida. Not bio-diesel.

Yep, If I stop at Snapper Creek SP on the way south, I can usually make it all the way back to Flying J in Fort Pierce on the way back north in my gasser. Last spring there was considerable construction going on at the service plaza and we missed the pump stop first time through. Fortunately there is a service road that cuts through on the north and south ends of the plaza. Kind of felt like we were on the track doing laps!

One year I had in mind stopping at that big station (forget the name) at the US1/997 intersection near Florida City. The place was packed and very tight at the gas pumps, so we kept on going. Had to take a bit of fuel at that BP station near Sunshine Key (MM34 or thereabout). Plenty of room with the pump parallel to the road, but OUCH! with the price.
