Florida

Does anyone recommend a nice, safe RV park in or around Pensacola, Florida? We rented a condo in Destin the last two years. We are trying to get a tad closer to home and drive a little less ( from Texas ). Now we have a camper and want to use it. Thanks.

Get the app "rvparky" you'll see lots of RV Parks. The nearer the water the higher the cost. safe travels ed

Daughter and SIL stayed here recently and loved it. A bit pricy compared to state parks. Fort Walton Beach Luxury RV Parks on Okaloosa Island - Destin West RV Resort

Thank you. I saw Destin RV in Destin. It's a very nice park and good location; however, not much to look at from your RV. We decided on Emerald Beach RV Park. It's nothing fanciy but one can see the water and get to a beach are in the intercostal canal. Thank you for your input.

Fort Pickins on Sant Rosa island is a C.O.E golden age pass campground. Nice drive to the actual campsites. Visit the fort. interesting. Free fishing pier, no lic. required when fishing from pier. Short drive back to town. Lots of tourist attractions. nice beach. Long bridge to island. $1.00 toll to get in, no toll to get out.

Pensacola Beach RV is new, about one year old. It's on the bay side with spots directly on the water. It has a small private beach, chair rentals, and even a couple of pull thru sites. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance, a bike path just outside the park. It's a nice park, pricey but nice.

While you are in the area, consider going to the Farmers Opry. Go to The Farmers Opry | Chumuckla's Premier Restaurant and Entertainment Venue and read about it. They also have a campground right next door.

We stay at Destin West quite frequently. The park is directly on the bay! Lots to look at, heated pool, beach access at the Ramada on the Gulf. Ramada owns the CG, additional heated pool and hot tub!
