Florida Campgrounds close to Gulf of Mexico beaches

Hello,

Back again for some advice. Looking for a campground close to the Gulf of Mexico beaches, ideally near Naples but flexible up the coast to the Tampa area. Camping in a 35' mh, we enjoy walking the beach, don't need anything super fancy, but not rustic. Hoping to get in mid-January to mid-February. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Go to https://www.google.com/maps and search RV Parks. You will get a bountiful listing along with ratings for each park or resort. You can also look at the Good Sam website and many others for information.

Here's one if they are not already fully booked.

Pinellas County, Florida, Park & Conservation Resources - Fort De Soto Park

and another, but you'll have to drive to the beaches.

Those months are gonna' be tough. You'll have better luck with a 45 minute drive to beaches. You could try Encore Manatee (Bradenton).

Good Luck! I've been trying to find an RV space since July, no joy. I was told I'm on a waiting list by 5 different RV parks between Ft. Myers and Naples.
Wait, I was incorrect; I did find one spot open- for $1,600/month
Even RV parks inland are the same way. I did find openings in an RV park that, from their website, are 30 miles from the nearest town/shopping.

You might want to consider our Pensacola Area. A bit cooler, but the beaches are the best on the Gulf. The natives seem to think that they will die of hypothermia if they stroll the beaches when the temperature is below 75, so we "Own the whole beach" when we go out in the winter.

Great entertainment venues and restaurants, better prices than Ft. Myers and Naples. Most days it's Jeans and a tee shirt instead of shorts, but we love it here.
