We "google" campgrounds near________. This brings up many websites with maps, rates,Ammenities and contact info. This will also link to reviews.

You didn't say how much further north you'd be going. We're in Frostproof, and are headed to Silver Springs, FL. tomorrow. We'll be staying at Wilderness RV Resort for a month. They have a nice class A only section, and all the shopping you could want is nearby.

I was thinking of going a couple of hours north of Tampa. My 1st trip along gulf coast so I want it to be convenient for heading that way.

Wilderness RV Resort is about 160 miles north of Tampa, in Silver Springs. If not familiar, that's right near Ocala.

When you get up to the "big Bend" of Fl, there is a great campground called Yellow Jacket Campground in Old Town, FL. Right on the banks of the Suwanee River. Wonderful place! If you go there, follow the signs from the "highway". Don't be worried when the road goes to dirt. Don't be put off by the broken down trailers on the road. The campground is at the end of all this, and it is worth all of the worry of the entrance road. We have an Entegra Anthem, 44 DLQ and it fit just fine. The couple that owns the campground are from Sweden and some of the nicest folks you will ever meet. Enjoy!

Do be worried if it has been raining. That road thrashed my 5er. Left 3 days ago, and still cleaning both the TV, and the 5th wheel. Not only that we had about one inch of leaves on the entire trailer and pickup. Beautiful place, but it can get messy. 1set of dumpsters in the whole place.

Definitely consider Nature Coast Landings near Inglis - 4 miles from gulf and next to the barge canal - very friendly park - sheds on most lots - all concrete
slabs - pool etc. We've been here 18 months.
