Florida in December - Kid Friendly Resort?

Good Morning;

My wife and I travel to the Destin area each spring and we truly love it;

We have space for 3 weeks in December to fit in a trip to central/south Florida, as Destin may be a little on the cool side,
I would take the coach down and my wife would fly in with the kids as she has a little less time off.....We are not interested in any of the theme parks or Disney stuff.
I know these kinds of requests are hard to answer because campsites/resort quality is sooooooo subjective but here is what we would prefer;

We would like to be close to a beach and would prefer a spacious site on a resort that has a kid-friendly pool area. We don't travel with pets and our daughters are 9 and 12. We don't like trailer parks.
We were thinking Sarasota, Ft. Myers or Sanibel area, but wouldn't rule out the east.

In a perfect world the location would have a rental property where our senior mothers could stay too, as they would fly down for a vacation also.

Check out Sun N Fun RV Resort in Sarasota. Very kid friendly, spacious sites and within a 20 minute drive to some fabulous beaches.
