If you plan to visit the Miami area, I highly recommend the Larry and Penny Thompson Campground. It is a county park, and perhaps the best I've ever seen. Pull up the address on Google Earth to see exactly how it looks.

You will always be able to find a place to stay. I second the motion for the State Parks. County Parks are also a good deal, even for out of state visitors. I don't know where you will be going, Orlando? or trying to sample the diffent places in the state? Give us an idea and we can help yo focus your plans a little better.

Thank you we are still considering and deciding whether we want to do this. We would be renting the unit in Florida but have concerns about giving up our mobility without a toad.

We did not rent a RV but did visit Lazy Days and attended a RV show in Ft. Myers and a few other dealers to window shop. I don't think I would by used from a dealer I would rather have a proud owner display to me his pride and care he has given his unit while telling me all about it.
