I know that there is a mass exodus from the clod climate.
my question is should I make a rv park reservation now or do I have time
for more research?
thx Mike

Welcome Mike to the Newmar forum and irv2.
Most of my friends up here in N.E. are making their plans now most go to the same parks every year and most long term stays need reservations now to hold there spot.
I'll link this post to a campground forum for more exposure.

If you are wanting to know about one or two night stays then NO.
If you are wanting a Month or longer from Dec. to March then Yes.
And the farther south you go from the lake do it last week.

You stand a broader chance of making a reservation further inland, coastal RV parks fill up fast, and are more expensive. Most make next years reservation before leaving the current year. Our only wintering in FL was on South side of Lake Okeechobee (sp), at Clewiston KOA. We said "no more" when the rent nearly doubled for the next year.

Hi Mike,
You are late to make reservations for the up coming winter. Consider defining your needs, get a CG directory and start calling now. The farther South you go the more expensive it will be. The bulk of the snow bird community is along the I4 corridor. Orlando westward to Crystal River. South to Ft. Myers and East to Okeechobee. Inside this box is where most snowbirds stay.

Post here or send me a PM if you need any additional info.

Hi Ray,
I didn't know you wintered in Clewiston. You were about 50 miles from my house. Where are you going to winter now?
