Wife and I were planning a trip to the Orlando/Lakeland/Tampa area to see some spring training baseball games. We have a class A and one elderly Lab. Any suggestions on campgrounds in the area? Thanks for the help.

rvgreg,
Deer Creek RV & Golf is on Hwy 27, 1/2 mile off I-4 ext #55. THey offer a three day free stay if you ask and are willing to take the tour. Monthly is $650 with electic and cable included. You don't have to play golf. (the course is a mess)

Thanks, bdaball. By the way, we are looking at a TOAD. How do you like the CRV? Does it tow easily?

We have been towing a 2003 AWD CRV manual transmission for over a year. Love it. Rarely remove fuses as we drive short distances each day.

If you go with a CRV - investigate your tail light options. I have been hard wiring for many years. On the CRV I added the extra bulbs and ran wire from the rear of the CRV - under - to the front. Plug in using a 4-way. Have a 4-way adapter in the RV plug. Simple and they work!

PS - If you are a member of the Moose Lodge. Winter Haven Moose Lodge has great sites for $10/night.

Have fun

Bill

There is a really nice KOA just off of 192 in Kissimmee. Kind of pricey but they told me last time that I stayed there they would be running spring training specials. Check them out.. Very nice long pull thru sites.
