Smile Fort Lardo in Georgia

We made reservations later this month for Fort Largo state park just outside of Atlanta. Has anyone on this forum visited this park and what can we expect. We have a 40 foot class a motorhome with three slides. Thanks and remember life is good. Rufus and Ruth Fruge

Haven't stayed there, but have stayed at Stone Mountain. Very nice campground there!

"Ft Lardo" Well I am a bit over weight!!

Ft Largo Could be the name of a movie.

I believe you are speaking of Yargo. It is a pretty place and there is beach for swimming and pretty good fishing. We live too close to camp there. Roads to get there are narrow and curvy in a couple of places.

Not familiar with a Fort Lardo. If it's Yargo, I've been there many times and really like it. Sites are nice, pretty lake, good hiking. If you're into mountain biking, there is a really good trail system there.
I wouldn't call it just outside of Atlanta, though. Probably a good hour or so from the city proper.
