Wished I could help, its frustrating when you don't get any responses. Use Allstays to find campsites and RV Park Reviews to sort them out. I do recall looking at a couple of reviews for private campsites in the area and there were some that the reviewers almost wholeheartedly responded to NEVER stop there. Hopefully someone will come along.......

Look also at mobile home (park homes) that take rv's too. Usually very nice parks, great amenities, sometimes gated, and probably owners of sites that want to rent a vacant spot because they didn't have a renter for full season. I got a nice place in Naples a couple years back for 800 a month.

Stayed here at Cypress Trail RV Resort. Liked it a lot, and would stay there again. Big rig friendly.

When we're in the Fort Myers area we love to stay at WP Franklin COE Park in Alva. There is a 2 week limit and it can be hard to get into but with the senior pass, it is also quite a bargain.
