Fort Wilderness ....

Heading out tomorrow morning to Disney's Fort Wilderness for 10 lovely days. Stopping at Ocala Sun RV tomorrow night and then going in DW on Saturday. This is our big trip this year ... last year was Key West. Really excited ... haven't seen Mickey and Minnie for 14 years! And first time in a motorhome.

Sorry I missed you. I left today. I make it back to the fort 4-5 times a year. It never gets old. I recommend going to EPCOT for the wine and dine. You walk around the world showcase and buy small portions of food from many country's. Just don't go on the Space ride to Mars ride first. It will make you sick and unable to eat for a least an hour. By the time you make it to France you will want to go in the show just to sit down in some A/C. I love the music and go in just for that. Have fun but don't rush yourself. The water in the pool at the campground is still warm by northern standards and the Strawberry Daquiries are just 20 paces away.

Say 'Hi' to Mickey for us. We won't get back before Halloween. We're currently on a big out west swing and will be stopping in your hometown of New Orleans for our first ever visit there.

Fantastic! Are you staying at the RV park near the Quarter? Remember, in Nola, you either love it or hate it. You see either the dirt and sleeze, or you see the wonderful history and ambiance. I happen to love it! Pm me after we get back from Disney(oct 8) and I'll email you local suggestions on what not to miss in the Big Easy😃

The 300 loop is right next to the dog park. You can also walk your dog in the loop so long as you pick up after it. Most of your neighbors will have dogs as well so it can be very social for people and K-9's. Not so much for cats.

Many of the loops now allow dogs. Denis is right, 300 is next to the dog park, the 500 loop (where we last stayed) is right across the street.

FW rates are now categorized from tent/pop-up to premium FHU and adjusted seasonally. Rates range from about $41 (tent/pup low season) to $142 premium (high season). The amenities are nice, comfort stations are clean and well stocked and you have access to WDW transportation. Still, the rates are kind of high IMHO.

We got back from Ft wilderness last week. absolutely love the place, and this trip, we spent 8 days there and never stepped inside a park. as for pets, you have to stay in a pet loop. our favorite loop is 800. this past trip they had us in the 400 loop. the sites were too small. called the office and they moved us to the 800 loop, 801 to be exact. (same site we've stayed on previously). and a car is much cheaper to rent than a golf cart so we brought our cart and rented a car.
Have a blast!!

We are in 433 - close to the landing, but I'm not really happy with the 400 loop. It is a premium pet loop, but not the easiest to get around and pretty tight if you ask me.
