French Creek State Park in PA

This is scheduled as our first trip on 2011. We will be there April 8th to the 10th. Looking to make sure everything is in working order for the summer not to mention doing some hiking and photography.

Bug512...
It looks like it will be a great place to spend some time! I am sure you will both have a nice week of it.
(I also took a peek at your photos...I see we are both Nascar fans! Do you also take photos of birds? Here are some of mine)

I personally do not take the bird pictures, Ginger does. I think she may have some if you click on the signature link. Last year we when on some guided nature / bird walks, what a great time we had walking around with people who have like minded hobbies.

She is more of the photographer then I. SHe shoots with a Canon 40D and has quite a good collection of lenses and accessories.
We will look at your pictures...

Too bad you are 3000 miles away.. French Creek State Park will be a fun weekend. In May we are taking a week and staying at Cunningham Falls State Park in Maryland. This will be a entire week not going anywhere, hiking, cooking, bicycling, photography, reading and of course our puppies. We are really looking forward to the trips in our new motorhome...

Thanks for the post...

While at Cunningham Falls State Park there is a nice "local" Irish restaurant on Rt 15, fairly close to the park, named Shamrock's. Very good food with a few Irish beer selections - Black&Tan (1/2&1/2).

There is also a brewpub in Frederick - Brewer's Alley - that you might enjoy. Few other microbreweries in the local area as well.

Noticed your adult beverage pics in your photo gallery...

Thanks !! I do not know how far the park is from Rt.15 ? We do have bicycles but no toad. I see that enterprise is on Rt. 15 so maybe we will rent a car for a day or two .

Thanks for the information !!
