Fresh water fill when traveling

this may sound dumb but where do we fill our water tank when traveling? I truly don't know.

Not dumb at all! I've been wondering the same thing. If we're boondocking and need to fill our freshwater, or a blueboy to transport it back, where do we fill it other than a dump station with water...?

Many of the truck stops have a pay to dump, which should also have water. Many RV parks will also let you dump for a fee, and give you fresh water. In Texas I stayed at a sporting goods store. Free parking and a dump and water.

One often has to look for potable water, but it is possible to find it. State parks are always a good start. Cabela's usually have it available someplace, and as most have a dump that is usually free that makes it a good start.

Often times the employees don't know where it is, but some searching will find a tap.
