From Prospect Oregon to Roseburg

We have a 38 ft. motorhome with a tow... 60 ft. total. Going from Prospect, Oregon to Roseburg, is taking rte 62 west to rte 227, then north on rte 227 to I-5 a reasonable way to go? Or is 227 not a particularly navigable road and going south on rte 62 to I-5, then north on I-5 a saner or safer way to go?

With 60' behind me I would go the extra 20 miles from Trail to I-5. Not that 62 is any great road either. We have some weather on the way so you should keep and eye on that. It is going to snow down to 3K' Sunday night last I heard. Have you seen OR-7 wandering around Prospect?
