We are going to EPCOT Food & Wine Festival early October staying at Ft Wilderness.
Does anyone know if camp fires at the sites are allowed? If so, I'll bring wood.
Thanks,
Dave & Phyl

HERE is a Fort Wilderness Fact Sheet...

They have a camp fire event, that's the only camp fire you'll see there...

Thanks Bob,
That's a great link. I had not thought of the AAA discount. Guess I'll leave the wood box home

If you have an enclosure to put the fire in they allow fires.Did have one at X-mas this past year....Just no fire on the ground.

Went X-mas 2005...spring break 05 doing X-mas 06 and spring break 07. The ol' saying been there... done that ...going back.

As Dutch stated, you can have your own fire as long as it is in an enclosed box and not on the ground.

We used one of those Marth Stewart copper fire pits there at Xmas last year with no problems. Nothng on the ground and you have to be right with the fire at all times

We were there last week and they did not allow any fires other than at the movie due to the dry weather.

Yes on the group fire, but no on the a site fire. It's kind of good thing that they don't allow them, because of how many sites so close together, i.e. smoke, unsupervised, etc. the place could go up in a second with 700+ sites yeeks! Have fun on your trip to FW.
