Ft. Wilderness Premium Sites, any real changes?

I was just wondering if anyone has stayed on the newly upgraded Premium Loops, 400, 500, 700, 800, 900, 1200 or 1300. Were they all recently done or just a couple of these loops? Also anyone going there in the upcoming months?

Last time we were at FW mid 90's the loops were tight now the new ones that have been redone have much more room but for $117 a night they should be. Seems they are pricing everyone out. This LINK has some up to date info by Javajelly.

We had stayed on loop 500 when we were there in October. I think at that time one other one was done and they started the third. They are still working to finish them up from what I've read.

For larger RV's, they are much better then before. I liked what they did to loop 500. Thought it looked and worked nicely. Wish I was there right now!

Thanks everyone

Shaun and Amy,

Were the streets the same width as before? Our biggest problem was during Halloween and Christmas with everyone’s decorations placed at the road edge there was very little room to back in, (had lots of folks watching of course.)

I called Disney and here is what they stated about the Premium Loops.

Completed at this time:
400, 500, 600, 800, 1200, 1300, 1400

To be completed by:
700 April, 900 May, 1000 May and 1100 June

The Premium Pet Loops are:
500, 700 & 800 and not sure if any more will be.

Hi Ted and Nancy,

Well, I don't think the streets were much wider, but the entrances to the sites were wider. They made more of an angled portion at the front of the site. This made it easier for sure. I agree though, it's pretty tricky driving around in there.

Main roads and loops are the same size. However, the sites are wider and deeper so the cars tend to be in the sites rather than hanging into the loop like before. Parking is easy now and you can even get satellite in some of the loops (I know 500).

Hi Ted, Nancy & The Westie's,
We just got back from a week at the 400 loop with our Westie Roxy. They are upgrading many of the sites. The pool and tennis area are also under construction. The site that we stayed at was #431 and was a big improvement over the old sites. We were able to get satellite because a lot of brush has been thinned out.
Thanks, Daryl

Thanks Nathan and Daryl

Last year we were at Ft. Wilderness 5 times and stayed in Loop 300 twice,(OUCH,) Loop 700 twice and Loop 800 once. I don’t belive they had 400 or 500 as a pet loop then but did hear some talk about 500. I'm glad to see they added them now as well as making their sites larger. Our Westie Kids love golf cart rides and we’re bringing our cart with us this time. We first requested Loop 700 but after finding out that it's not changed over yet asked for Loop 800 this morning. Would we be better off asking for either Loop 400 or 500 over Loop 800 since they are all changed? We’re only going to be up there for 3 nights in March but will be there for 9 nights in May.

Thanks,
Ted

Hi all. A quick add. Not all loops will go Premium. 300 loop for example can't because of wetland intrusion constraints. I believe 100 and 200 are in the same situation.

If you are a dog owner and would like to make use of the excellent dog run, loop 500 is premium and a short walk. 700 is also an option w/a bit of a longer walk.

300 is very close to dog run but, will not be premium.

We have a greyhound and will do our best to stay in those loops in the future.

We stayed in the 400 loop B/4 Christmas, the pet loop was very good, the site was paved instead of dirt as we've had in the past, streets and entrances have not improved for a 45'r.
