Question Fulltime near Madison WI, summer 2014

While I transistion to fulltiming, I am looking to experience and practice by staying close to my current full-time job. Does anyone know of a campground near Madison, WI that I can stay at over the summer next year other than the KOA in DeForest - they seem expensive? Thank you for any insight

"Lake Farm" is Dane county park, just south on "southtown" road. Don't know if there is a restriction on how long one can stay.

The county parks are nice, but there is a two week limit. You can rotate between parks, just as long as you move every two weeks. The other problem is, they're electric only, no water or sewer hookups.

Have you asked the KOA if they have weekly or monthly rates? They're the only full hookup park in the immediate Madison area.

There is a full hookup park on county N between I90 and Stoughton, Viking Village, if I remember right.

Oak Park Terrace takes RVs and costs $450 month. Seasonal rates would be slightly less per month. Oak Park Terrace || RV

Viking Village in Stoughton is nice but will cost $685 a month for full hookups. Home Page

There are many places around 30 miles of Madison, Pardeeville, Lodi, Edgerton, Milton, etc.

The Dane County Parks campgrounds are very good with on-site electrical hookups, and potable water and dump stations in the park. Here are the campgrounds so equipped:
Lake Farm
Token Creek

If you can pick up and move every fourteen days, and move to get water and dump when needed, those would be possibilities.
