We are in Bristol TN today looking to go to the Gatlinberg/Pigeon Forge/Smokies area for 3 nights. We are hoping to get there between the summer crowd and the fall color leafers, I know traffic can be a real mess. Any suggestions for our 32 footer pulling a Jeep? Campgrounds (full hookups) and must see attractions?

Hi CJ7ole,
Another choice is Gatlinburg Outdoor Resorts of America . This is a very nice resort. It is right next to the Smokey Mountains, in Gatlinburg.

We stayed at the Townsend KOA. Away from all the commotion but an easy drive in with your toad.

Suggest Dollywood of course, then take in some of the dinner shows with the horses and stuff like that. Shopping in Gatling Burg of course. plan a day there and take money. Its worth the trip just for the look around. If you have a ''toad'' take the bypass around Gatlinburg and go up to Clingmans Dome for a look around if the weather is pretty. Plan a day for this and if it is still open go to Cades Cove for a drive thru.. really pretty over there. The place is like Myrtle Beach without the ocean. Tons of people and lots of places to spend you welfair check.
HaVE FUN ...........

God bless our troops and bring them home real soon and safe too.
