Question Gettysburg concerns!

We've been planning our trip to Gettysburg since last summer, and reserved at Drummer Boy last November. Now, after reading some of the reviews, I'm a little concerned! Will our 40' motorhome fit? Are their sites paved? Will I have satellite access? I sent them an email this morning, but I may give them a call later today. I'm just curious as to what all of the experienced travelers out there have to say. Thank you!

RV Park Reviews - Trusted Reviews of Campgrounds & RV Parks is usually very helpful, as is Google earth. The phone call can't hurt either.

Just heard that the re-enactment has been postponed until August 7, 8, 9 due to the recent large amounts of rain.

I stayed there a couple years ago. Here is my review:

Gettysburg - iRV2.com Campground Reviews

I saw many large class A RV's there. The roads and sites are gravel.

We stayed there last August...

It was a nice place.. our site was not "paved", it had crushed stone..

As to the satellite, I would suspect that depends on which site you have... I believe there might be sites in the back of the campground with limited tree's.. I don't think you'll have any issues with your 40ft RV... We have a 36ft and had plenty of room to maneuver around the campground

If you're bring kids.. They'll like the pool in the back with the slide.. mine did.. However, we spent such little time at the campground, I couldn't give you a full review of the facility... We were too busy sightseeing everything else in the Gettysburg area..

It's a great area to visit.. enjoy !!!

Trees... Why you need a TRIPOD mount dish (Additional roof mount optional)

Gettysburg...Just now I am not sure I would wish to visit... IT is a historic site (Why I Did visit) and of special importance to those involved with Civil War issues... I might wish to put off visiting till 2016.

Home is where I park it!
