I know it is still early in the season but I thought I would share some pictures of our 2007 Summer trip in case anyone is planning on going there this year. It was our first trip to Glacier and I believe they were setting new high temperature records but it was still a wonderful visit.

We don't tow so this might be interesting to anyone else who travel like we do without a toad. The park had just started a shuttle system which worked out very well for us, and enabled us to see parts of the park that we wouldn't have been able to see without a toad.

Ron,

We were there last July with a Winnebago WIT caravan.
Magnificent scenery.

Frank,

When were you there? We were there for only 4 days, July 10th through the 13th. I wish I could have spent at least a week, maybe next time

Ron

We were there through the fall of 05. One of the park rangers stated that if anyone desires to see the glaciers to do so before 2020, because they are melting away.

Went there two years ago stayed for a week in St. Mary at the KOA. Just was not enough time. This has got to be the Disney World of all the National Parks. My favorite anyway, but that's just my opinion.

Sorry I missed this post earlier. We were there July 6th to 9th and stayed at West Glacier KOA. The weather was great, just like the scenery.

We plan to take time from our Montana fishing to see Glacier this summer. We've been going to Yellowstone for the past 25 years and it is my favorite. I'm sure Glacier will be fantastic! Any recommendation on where to stay and how long we should plan to stay? We don't have a schedule, but it will possibly be in July. Thanks!

We were there last year and stayed at the North American RV Park (http://www.northamericanrvpark.com/).

It was a very nice and well maintained park close to Glacier NP and the nearby towns.

How long to stay? Depends on what you want to do. We like to hike a lot so we spent several days just hiking trails. Allow a day for the Going to the Sun road. Also plan on visiting Many Glaciers NP on the east side of Glacier.

Let's see . . . went to Glacier NP with my family in 1959 when I was 11 years old. Have passed through a corner of the park on several dozen freight trains as an employee of Burlington Northern Railroad (now retired ).

Hmmm - should I go see the park again? Yes!

I'm off to plan out the trip . . . later, y'all!
