Glamis dunes

I'm considering going there for Thksgvg. I was there before between Christmas and New Yr, and it was super crowded, as far as finding a paved and level camp site. How are the crowds for Thksgvg? Thinking of arriving Wednesday morn. Thx.

Its been years since I have been, but Thanksgiving was always the biggest and best time to go. Its a blast, let us know how it is if you go.

I think Thanksgiving is the biggest of the year. Easter also a big time to go, in addition to the Christmas to New Year's timeframe.

Sorry no help with locations, but I imagine it is going to be very tough to find much on Wed.

I can tell you it is super busy over Thanksgiving but somehow you can always find a place to park... and watch the show.

I agree. Thanksgiving, hands down, is the busiest time to go. Have had some crazy times there.

Ya, we got a good spot! I worked all day Tuesday, drove to Yuma and spent the night at the beautiful Flying J, got up and drove to Glamis on Wednesday, arriving about 10:00 AM.

We got a real nice spot just north of the Keyhole off Gecko Road. I was talking to some Glamis veterans and they said Wednesday is a kind of transition day where some people come the weekend before and leave on Wednesday to spend Thkgvg at home, so some nice spots open up early on that day. Thanks for the feedback, had a great time.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the desert, such a fun place! When you have time I would love to see more photos.
