I believe premium sites start at $105.00 now. AAA discounts are available at times. We were able to get a AAA discount for this November. If you make a "room only" (campsite only) reservation you can get the discount and give 1 nights rate as a deposit. If you book campsite with tickets, it is considered a package and discounts won't apply.

Do you have to call to get the AAA discount, or is there a way to do it online?

You should look at the web site called Fort Fiends.net. They have a great Iphone app that has a picture and the demensions of each site. We like the 500 loop and the 800 loop. They are premium sites and are dog friendly. If satelite TV is important to you then ask for a site near the meadow trading post as most of the other sites are in the shade of trees. There are some sites in the 1600, 1700, 1800, and 1900 loops that can accommodate larger class A's but you have to be real specific with the Cast Member who is helping you. Good luck on getting a reservation however, this is their busiest time of year. Keep calling, there are always cancellations as many people book a year in advance and then make other plans.

EXCELLENT advice on the loops.

Sad day. We are leaving site number 537 today after a month. Could not get reservations through the end of the month.

Be sure to book the Not So Scary Halloween night but do it now and if there are any favorite resturants be sure to book now. It took four days to get lunch at the Coral reef.

The parade alone is worth seeing at the Halloween night.

Space 537 has a window through the bushes for a portable satellite dish but it took some trimming. The roof dish was blocked.

IF Wi-Fi is an issue, ask for a modem at the front desk area. It is free and connects to the park cable. I routed it to my own router and made the whole family happy.

As others have said just keep calling and checking availability. We just had to cancel our reservation for the week of ThankGiving 2013.

We booked it last year while at the Fort for Thanksgiving, then my work schedule changed and we had to cancel. This happens all the time.

They also have last minute cancellations. We met a couple last year who had never been. Decided the day before, they wanted to spend the week at The Fort. They called on Friday, and were in their site on Saturday for the whole week... And that was the week of TG. One of the busiest weeks of the year.

Bottom line... Persistence can pay off!

As for discounts... It has been said that "Disney" and "Discounts" cannot be said in the same breath. As others have indicated their is the AAA discount, but not sure it gets you much. I have heard the military discounts are significant.

Disney's just not one of those places I associate with discounts. As a co-worker once told me...

"When you walk thru the gate, Mickey Mouse is going to grab you by the ankles, turn you upside down, and shake all the money out of you pockets! ... And if you're OK with that, you're gonna have a wonderful time!

No saying was ever more accurate!

Ticketing and Annual Pass's can get overwhelming! Add finding discounts for those tickets and Fort stays really complicates things. I check "Fort Fiends" and "DisBoards" frequently for any and all offers. I really want to make it back to the Fort next year for an extended visit (4-5 weeks) and take our time completely exploring everything Disney. No, not 4-5 weeks at the Fort, maybe two there and 2-3 at the Thousand Trails Orlando. Were still looking for or if discounts are available on the "premier" annual pass?

It will be quite the trip, coming from So Calif so I'm trying to save where I can so "Mickey" can empty my pockets once on property...lol
