Golf cart rental in West Central Florida

The DW and I are going to spend Feb. and March in Florida this year at one CG for the duration of our stay. We would love to rent a golf cart for our stay. (We have one but driving the MH with a toad doesn't allow us to haul our golf cart down there.

On line cart rental prices seem to be steep. Low $400 to high $600's per month. Two months at those price are nearly 1/2 the cost of a used one up our way. I thought renting one for and average of $10 - $12 per day would be fair. Guess I thought wrong. The company's liability insurance costs must be pretty salty.

Golf courses have a large number of carts for the guests to rent but camp grounds catering to snow birds don't make them available.

Any thoughts or suggestions that might help me find a $300 - $350 rental per month?

Yep, cart rentals in FL are steep, buying one even more so. It would almost pay a couple to rent a trailer and haul a cart and the car to FL. Most rental trailers have surge-brakes, so the wiring should match.
My cousin owns a place in FL, a few years ago he bought a couple carts up here, hauled them to FL, sold them for enough to pay the gas bill for the trip, he drove a Chevy suburban, not a MH, and owned the enclosed trailer. It helped he needed the trailer in FL anyway to haul stuff back.

Not sure where you mean by west central Florida, but Dans Custom Golf Carts in Williston FL (20 mi SW of Gainesville on SR 121) rents at $150 per month, 125 per month for three months or more. I share you frustration...everywhere I looked prior to coming down here wanted 350-400 a month.

That said, I don't think this guy will rent one to you on the phone. You'll probably have to go to his site, as getting a rental from him seems to be a day to day thing, depending on what he has in and out, and he'd rather sell some of his used...but He does rent at a reasonable price. His carts are electric.
