See the post about Davie KOA. In Homestead there is the Southern Comfort Just east of US 1 on 344 Street. I stayed there three weeks and had no problems. Don't go west of US! unless you go all the way to the everglades NP. I hope you have a toad so you can go see South Beach or downtown Miami. The County parks in Hollywood (Topogeege), Pembroke Pines( CB Smith) and maybe even (Markham) are under an hours drive to downtown. Do not stay in any of the old Trailer Parks in the urban areas of Miami.

Agree with Miami Everglades and Larry and Penny.... both are very nice. We stay at Southern Comfort for the NASCAR races, but it's really not a great place, just the closest to the track. If you want to go a bit north for a luxury resort, check out Aztec RV Resort near Ft. Lauderdale

Where are these? I am not aware of any...unless you are talking about the two or three trailer parks in Homestead or the campground out west on the Tamiami Trail. The county park at the metrozoo is the only campground that I am aware of, and it certainly is no old trailer park. It is probably the most spacious, quiet, peaceful, reasonably-priced, full hookup RV park that we have ever stayed at.

There are trailer parks on 79 St and 27 avenue near northside, the are a few on 27 Ave north of Miami River and there is one on NW 36 st between 27 Ave and 32 Ave. These are all in central Miami not Homestead.

The last couple times we visited the Keys we spent a couple days at the Miccosukee casino. Huge parking lot with several rv's. Dry camping but quite secure with roving guards. Good cheap food and extremely easy access. Can't beat the $9.95 steak and lobster.

There are many trailer parks in Miami, as well as major cities across the country. Does anybody actually bring an RV to one for an overnight stay? I have lived in Miami since 1980 and avoid even driving thru Liberty City.
