Thanks for the suggestions. We are currently waiting on a grand child to be born before departure, (due today) and I have reservations on PEI so that is what's dictating or length of stay. Looks like I may need to try to make at least two days there as my running shoes don't run no more! Thanks all!

Ships and children arrive at mid-night.

If you can't plan to kill an entire day at both HF & GFV, try to figure out how to get there on the backhaul or some later date. DW and I both volunteered there when kids were young. We can still go back.

There are two campgrounds that are close:
Wayne County Fairground - has WE and no shade. Now some FHU.
Detroit Greenfield was a KOA but recovered. It is nice, Lots of FHU. Few of our friends use it because we are 10 miles away and have space. Those few that do make good reports.

If you get pinched out of time for HF/GFV, go south of Lake Erie. The cash you save will be your own. Then you could roll NY on the Southern Tier and do the Glass Museum at Corning.

I will try to watch here and see how things go.

I hope the drive is boring and the stops are memorable.
