Now for something different. North Rim. Camper Village. Dirt but full hook ups and the North rim is spectacular. Lots of forest roads to explore the rim. Not near as crowded. For arches, I agree with portal rv resort. Very nice.

We stayed at Mather CG right in the park. No hook-ups but very pleasant with elk passing through from time-to-time. Short walk down to the shuttle stop right at the entrance to the campground. With our senior pass it was only $9 per night.

Trailer Village is nearby if you need hook-ups. Our rigs aare equipped to camp without hook-ups for a few days.

I can help with austin. Depending on what part of town you want to be in. La Hacienda off 620 is nice. Also mcKinney falls state park is a short drive to town

Hi moldtech. PM sent. It would also help to know what size rig you have and what type of camping you want to do.

Look at highway 12 through Bolder Ut. Etc. scenic byway with some great boondock sites very near the highway. Slower perhaps but isn't that what touring is about?

We also stayed at the Trailer Park Village for one night after they got 16" of SNOW! Roads are well maintained and we were able to get around to all the viewing areas with no problem driving our Class C 2013 Thor Citation 24SR.
