Grand Canyon - South Rim

Hello,

Has anyone camped at Trailer Village near the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in December? If so, what is the weather like that time of year?

I'm sure I could call the campground and ask, but I thought I would see what others say and think of the campground.

Thanks

Here's the weather report of last December - 2014. However, you know that it's difficult to predict weather. Among multiple times at the Canyon, one time was in February and we were in shorts. Other years in February we would have needed warm coats.

Grand Canyon - South Rim

We spent several days at Trailer Village first week of Jan 2014. Chilly (high 30s-low 40s) and pretty windy. Air crystal clear, visibility unlimited. Had some snow squalls the day we left. We thought it was a great visit. No problem getting a space, no lines, no crowds.

Thank you for the responses... A little hesitate to try and visit there at that time of year. Don't want to have to deal with driving a motorhome in snow or camping in near freezing weather.

Again, thanks to those who responded.

We were there on Feb 1, 2014 Was 3 degree early am. Warmed up during the day. Just kept RV slides in and heater on. Had no water issues. Used on board water. Actually walked to the bottom. Was 54 degree at the bottom.
