grand junction rv parks

My wife and I will be spending part of Oct and all of Nov at Grand Junction for some medical services at the Va hospital there. We have a 41 foot MH and would like to stay at a RV park near the hospital. Any sugestions! Thanks Tim and Miriam

We have stayed at the Junction West RV park before and I believe it is the highest rated RV park in area. Has large shaded sites and close to I70. Don't know how far it is from VA hospital. Google the park's site and check map to see where it is compared to VA location.

KOA in Grand Junction

Just recently stayed in GJ (8-11-11) and found the KOA to be just perfect. The location is about 3 miles south of the downtown district on I-50. If you wewre to follow I-50 into town it turns into 5th street. I believe if you follow it a short distance and head east on one of the main streets you will run into the VA hospital. The drive is no more than 10 minutes from the park. This KOA park was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The restrooms were spotless and the wi-fi had a very strong signal from space 5-C. Plenty of big rigs at 40 plus feet in the park during my stay.

Sounds like there's several good spots to choose from. We passed through there a couple of years back and stayed at the state park on the river... don't recall the name. We were very impressed with the entire place.

Good luck...

Rick

We stayed at Junction West a couple of months ago while we dealt with service issues at the local Freightliner service center. The park is fine, and the people who run the place are very, very nice.

We drove by the KOA during our stay, and it seems fine, too.

Hope that helps, and hope your stay goes well.

There a beautiful state park near Grand Junction in Fruita. They have full hookups if that's what you need. Here's a link:
