I guess nobody wants to reveal their favorite snowbird roosts.
There is a thread that is currently active in this forum that suggests the Encore RV Park in Port Charlotte.
There are lots of RV parks along the Gulf, but a lot depends on what you consider pricey. The farther south you go in Florida and the closer to the Gulf, the more expensive campgrounds get. We have found most nicer parks in that area are in the $1000+ a month range. We stay a little north of Tampa and a little inland for half that.
For some suggestions, you might check out the iRV2 campground reviews (link at the top of the page) or look at
rvparkreviews.com. You'll have to get out a map to find the names of cities and towns near where you want to stay, but there are lots of listings for Florida.
