Odor up front on outside

I've got a 1994 Itasca Suncruiser 34'RA with a 454 Chevy engine.
Occasionally I smell an odor that smells like ( break fluid , antifreeze , freon ???)
The odor shows up driving and breaking sometimes. It does not ever seem to smell when the weather is below 80 or so. The odor seems to show up occasionally when it gets hot 95 or above when it is parked and hasn't been driven in a week or longer.
I can't see any leaking ( break fluid , antifreeze ,freon etc). There is some type of canister on drivers side up front near the engine. I can't seem to confirm the odor comes from the area of the canister. It's about the size of a 1lb coffee can.
Does anyone know what purpose this canister???
Or does anyone what or cause of this Oder???
Thanks
James

Sorry for the out of place post????
I tried starting a new post on my odor issue and it showed up on the gulf waters posting. Any advise in helping me get the odor issue posted in the correct location would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
James
