Hi all,
Looks like I'll be working in one of wind turbine parks near these towns this winter. Does anyone have any recommendations where I can camp ? It needs to be within an hour of the above towns if possible for a daily drive. I'm seeing most parks are closed for winter in that area.
Thank you

The Wyoming Campground Association may be a resource for you. I'd phone/email the Assn. and inquire. I say this because not all CG's pay to be listed in the CG directories, but do belong to the state Assn.

Lenny, For that area, Rawlins is going to be your best bet. Although I drive through Rawlins quite a bit, I rarely stay there. I did one overnight at the Western Hills Campground and recall they had lots of long term visitors, so I assume theyre open year round.

That area of Wy gets mighty cold and windy in winter, plan for some thorough winterizing. We (my employer prior to recent retirement) built some of those wind power projects out of our Casper regional ofice.

good luck

Jim
