We were members for a while. There are very few establishments connected with HH around here in Ohio, KY, where we travel. Maybe in a few years they will collect a few more establishments and make it worth our while.

WOW!! Thanks so much for posting this. I wish there was a bit more detail to the maps and info about location but this looks like a great option.

I do believe Harvest Hosts will be getting a new member!

After not being able to get much information from the website maps, we joined on line and received information very fast. The member maps are interactive and very useful. We found two locations that coincide with our June trip route, so the membership fee is definitely worth it .

I joined too! Very impressed with the list and found some along our proposed route to Wa & OR. I also joined the forum which isn't very active but has pics and reviews of some of the host sites.

I also submitted a local winery and have another in mind too!

I just joined. I've been looking at it for a while and it sounds like a good deal. I did the lifetime membership. The biggest draw-back for me is the 24-hr thing. I'd like to be able to spend 48 hrs or more sometimes. Are the hosts usually amenable to this?

I am waiting to get my coach delivery date before I join. That said, what I read was that the policy is 24 hrs...but that some hosts do allow more time...on a case by case basis. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

This is great thanks Jerry for sharing!

I love the idea of going from farm to farm. As a farmer I am much more interested in how others ply their craft than visiting cities. We will try it soon!

Farmer Steve said what I was going to LOL. I am a farmer in Nebraska and I am always interested in how people do it in different parts of the country.
I was actually very excited when we were visiting my wife's family in Kentucky and the neighbors invited me to help with he tobacco crop. Unfortunately the weather never cooperated.

For me this winter in Florida it was orange groves & sugar cane fields.

Was interesting to visit those farmers and see some different equipment.

We used to farm but lease our ground out now....much less stressful! We enjoy seeing the crops and machinery in the different parts of the country and hope to stay at several HH's this summer.

Jerry, if you come to my farm I'm going to put you to work! Official chicken manure controller. LOL and yes it's more than a 24 hour job.
