Have you overnighted in the Cabela's in the Christiana Mall in Delaware just off of I

Looking for a place to shut down for the night. Anyone ever try the Cabela's in the Christiana Mall?

No, but I shop there all the time. The spaces are in the rear of the store and should be easy to get to. Signs in the front point the way but if you need more info, you go around to the right of the store when facing the entrance. My daughter works there as a manager. If you need any more info let me know. The Google Earth pictures are of before the store was built, but the location is correct. The store is at the back side (north side) of the parking lot GE shows.

Since it's close to home we don't do any overnights in the area. We travel across America and up to Alaska and have never had a problem staying overnight at rest areas despite the signs and dire warnings. Of course we don't open all slides and put out the BBQ. Unless you're causing some sort of problem, the local law enforcement types have a lot more important things to do than hassle an RV'er. We stay at truck stops all the time too. Finding a spot you don't have to back into is sometimes a bit tough, but we travel from about 4:30 in the AM and stop no later that 4 or 4:30 in the afternoon. Overnighting trucks aren't a problem on that schedule and the idling of engines or refers puts us asleep and hides sharp noises. Another good place to check is Lowes. They don't advertise it but unless there's a city ordinance against it, their policy is to allow RV'ers overnight. Of course Lowes and WM have free Internet that you can tap in the parking lot.

Last year we stayed at the Delaware visitor center just south of Christiana.
No problems, we just parked in with the trucks. There was plenty of room that night

There's only a few spots at Cabela's and they are small, about car and pop-up trailer size or Class C size.

I've now cleared most of my PM's (hadn't done that before) 😳

Thanks guys for the info. Just want a simple overnight. As when we Wallydock, if I am lucky to orient the rig with the bedroom slide extending over a curb out of any possible traffic (foot or motor vehicle), I will extend it. If not, we stay buttoned up like (happy) sardines and back on the road in the morning after the commute hours.

DW is a great sport and all, but It would be a bit of a cold ride (if you know what I mean) if I were to get her up to hit the road at 4:30am. We got up everyday at that time when we worked. But now that we are retired....

Thanks again for the info.

We ended up doing the same. We parked with the trucks. There was a Tiffin Class A in the lot that night as well. No problems what so ever. And....Starbucks is right in the travel plaza. Very good way to start the day!

Thanks for all of your suggestions.
