I will be traveling to texas from CA this week, with 2 other families towing 5vers. we will be taking I-5 to I-10 and taking hwy 90 stopping in marfa, langtry and stopping in victoria.

Can you provide any help on sites to stay at for the night. along the way, we will probably only be traveling 400-450 miles a day, planning stops

LA area, near pheonix area, el paso area, Marfa, and then make it down to victoria,

If you are going through Langtry, Home of Judge Roy Bean, headed to Delrio, you go right past Seminole Canyon S.P. They have some very interesting indian cave paintings.

On the coast, south of Victoria is a nice SP rigth on the beach in Port Lavaca.

Can't help much with the Corpus area. Port Aransas has Goose Island SP. In Corpus there is the aquarium and the Lexington aircraft carrier.

From Del Rio headed to San Antonio, stop at Bracketsville and see the movie set from the John Wane movie, The Alamo. Also see the Alamo in San Antonio.

The Lazy Longhorn in Victoria, TX is a really great RV park. Try it, you'll like it! Corpus is another matter. As I recall all three(?) are owned by the same group. The one we stayed in had planes from a naval facility flying over night & day and the other two have really small crowded spaces. There is a County Park by Bob Hall(?) pier that is better than any others we ran across and it wasn't super.

There are so many great parks on the route that you have chosen.....

I found a neat trick using Google to search for locations in towns: On the Google home page, click on local (a new selection), then type in what you are searching for in the first box, then the town and state in the second box, and you'll be amazed what you will find.

Have a safe trip!
