There's a great place in Arundel called Hemlock ...something.
Small with a great treee setting and very friendly owners.
Been to Big Apple and this is far better.
Arundel is a great place. Close to Kennebunkport, Arundel Theater, LL Beans, Kittery...and most of all....striped bass fishing at Parsons Beach.

We have stayed at a few places in the Bar Harbor Region. The narrows is very expensive and the workampers can be very rude (although as with anything else we found a couple very nice). We stayed on the quiet side of the island @ Bass Harbor Campground. They were very nice the sights not the best but A big rig can get in there. While you are there go to Thuston's Lobster pound over on the quiet side in Bernard. A bit of a drive but lobster right off the boat at their own dock and the best we have ever had.
