Heading east from Bennington, Vermont

We will be heading east from Bennington, Vermont on 9 to interstate 91 South. Allstays shows a bridge near the 91. We are 13 ft. high, has anyone gone this route? Can we make it or do I need to go a different route?

That is a major truck route for the area. I would not expect trouble. I would expect some hills. If you look at Google map the ramp is a left hand turn off a bridge that ramps down into a big curve to put you north of that bridge going south back under that Interstate bridge. They are usually adequate.

I've done that route several times, towing and not. Don't recall any bridges that would be an issue. Unless you're looking at the bridges from Brattleboro across the river into NH, but that's not on your route at all.

Where does Allstays put this bridge?

Roger

P.S. It's a pretty drive, but there's a lot of up and down, along with plenty of curves. Be sure to take your time. Tightest curves are coming into Brattleboro.

BTW, be sure to stop at Hogback Mountain Gift Shop and the Southern VT Natural History Museum. It's a picture stop. About 2/3 of the way from Bennington to Brattleboro, comes up quick on your right. You'll be going slow anyway because you will be reaching the highest point. If you're ready for it, it's easy to pull off even while towing.

There is a pretty short, I think around 8 ft something covered bridge just off 9 near 91. That is probably what would be marked on there. Probably looks like it's on the highway if not really close up on map. Nothing actually on 9 to be worried about.

IIRC that bridge isn't even open to vehicle traffic! Isn't it on the outskirts of Brattleboro?
